'Pretty Little Liars' wins third season

Pretty Little Liars has been renewed for a third season by ABC Family.



The drama, which stars Lucy Hale, Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson and Shay Mitchell, focuses on a group of friends who get mysterious messages from someone called 'A'.

ABC Family has now ordered 24 more episodes of the drama, TV Line reports.

Pretty Little Liars will continue its second season when it returns with a new episode on January 2.

Actors including Lachlan Buchanan, Alexander Nifong, Shane Coffey and Anthony Tyler Quinn have signed up for roles in the show.

The third season of Pretty Little Liars is due to premiere next summer.
