'Medium' creator working on new CBS drama

CBS has started developing a new show with the creator of Medium.



Glenn Gordon Caron has signed up to write and direct the project, which focuses on a woman who reunites people with loved ones they have lost touch with while searching for her own identity, reports Deadline.

The character, who has been compared to Erin Brockovich, is based on the real missing persons' investigator Pamela Slaton.

The project has been brought to CBS by Cathy Konrad, who found her birth parents with the help of Slaton years ago.

Konrad, who has previously worked on the television show Men In Trees and the movies Girl, Interrupted and Walk The Line, will executive produce the show with Caron. The pair will also work alongside Konrad's collaborator James Mangold.

Mangold and Konrad are also currently working on the CBS project Ralph Lamb, about a famous Las Vegas sheriff.

CBS is currently developing a number of other shows including a procedural with Jerry Bruckheimer and a remake of the classic sitcom Bewitched.
