20th Century Fox has ordered a pilot episode for the new Ethan Hawke series Exit Strategy.
The series will be written by David Guggenheim and directed by Training Day helmer Antoine Fuqua.
Hawke has officially signed on to star in the show, which is being seen as a potential successor to the company's popular series 24 due to its use of real-time elements.
The Daybreakers actor will play a CIA team leader who takes on various crises across the world in order to save operations that end badly.
No announcement has been made as to when the pilot for Exit Strategy will air.
