CBS has reportedly renewed The Young And The Restless.



According to Deadline, the network signed a deal to keep the show on the air for three more years.

The move means that the soap, which first aired in 1973, will continue to run through the 2013-14 season.

The Young And The Restless often receives the highest daytime ratings and the early renewal has been described as a vote of confidence from CBS.

The news comes shortly after NBC picked up its soap Days Of Our Lives for two more years.
