Joan Allen signs up for HBO's 'Luck'

Joan Allen has reportedly signed up for a role in HBO's new series Luck.



The drama, which also stars Dustin Hoffman, focuses on horse owners, jockeys and gamblers.

According to Deadline, Allen has landed a multi-episode arc in the show.

She will play a woman that runs a scheme in which prisoners care for injured or old racehorses.

Allen previously starred in the Lifetime movie Georgia O'Keeffe and has also had roles in films including The Bourne Ultimatum, The Notebook and Face/Off.

Luck is currently in production.
