Announced this morning by the network, “Greenleaf” has officially been renewed for a fourth season. The news of which comes as the series continues to move further into its current, third season, with its newest episode set to premiere on the network later tonight.

Created by Craig Wright, the original drama series follows the family members at the head of a major Memphis megachurch, and how their secrets and lies threaten to destroy everything they’ve worked so hard to create and maintain. Its ensemble includes Keith David, Merle Dandridge, Kim Hawthorne, Lamman Rucker, Desiree Ross, Lynn Whitfield, and more.

“Greenleaf is a cornerstone of our scripted programming slate and pulls in millions of viewers each week with its unique storylines and powerful characters,” commented Erik Logan, President of OWN. “We are very proud of this show, the incredible cast, producers and crew, and can’t wait for more twists and turns from the Greenleaf family in season four.”

Throughout its third season, “Greenleaf” has been averaging a 0.3 live + same day rating in the adults 18-49 demo, down just a tenth from the 0.4 average of its second season last year. Its most recent episode, which aired a week ago and raked in 1.55 million viewers, was its highest-rated Wednesday night broadcast since the series made its return in late August.

“Greenleaf” airs every Wednesday night on OWN.
