NBC has picked the show that will claim the post-“This Is Us” timeslot after “Law & Order True Crime” ends its run in November

It’s another Dick Wolf-produced show, “Chicago Med.” The hospital drama will begin its third season at 10 p.m. ET/PT Tuesday, Nov. 21. Season 3 will run for 20 episodes, down from 23 last season because of its late premiere date. That will bring the show’s total to 61 so far.

“Med” is returning to Tuesdays, where it aired in 2015-16, after spending last season as NBC’s 9 p.m. Thursday show. The scheduling will mean three consecutive nights of the network’s Chicago shows at 10 p.m. — “Med” on Tuesdays, “PD” on Wednesdays and “Fire” on Thursdays.

Season 3 will pick up shortly after the events of last season’s finale, which had Dr. Daniel Charles (Oliver Platt) getting shot.

“Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders” finishes its eight-episode run on Nov. 14.

NBC hasn’t revealed any of its scheduling plans for the second half of the season yet. The network has the Winter Olympics on tap for February and five new shows in reserve: dramas “Good Girls,” “Reverie” and “Rise” and comedies “AP Bio” and “Champions.”

Second-year shows “Marlon,” “Timeless,” “Taken” and “Trial & Error,” along with Season 3 of “Shades of Blue,” are also on deck for the back half of the season.
