Katherine Heigl is back on the small screens.

The actress' new drama series Doubt has been picked up for a series order by CBS, reports TVLine.

Doubt's concept was first developed last year but with different lead stars — KaDee Strickland and Teddy Sears.

Heigl will play a defense lawyer at a boutique firm who falls for a charismatic client accused of a brutal crime.

Steven Pasquale will play the client. Heigl and Pasquale will also be joined by Laverne Cox, Dulé Hill, Dreama Walker and Kobi Libii.

Heigl's last television show States of Affairs was shortly cancelled after it debuted in November 2014.

Heigl is best known for her roles in Roswell, Grey's Anatomy and the movie Knocked Up.
