Mid-season drama Containment comes from The Vampire Diaries and The Originals producer Julie Plec as an extension of her overall deal with The CW.

Based on a Belgian series, this re-envisioned version of Containment takes place as a viral outbreak forces mandatory quarantine in Atlanta.

Plec's Vampire Diaries star Chris Wood, Interstellar's David Gyasi and Spartacus: Vengeance actress Hanna Mangan-Lawrence will star in the thriller.
