Mind Games has been pulled from the network's schedule after five episodes, TVLine reports.

The drama launched with 3.6m viewers on February 25, but viewership had fallen to 2.06m by the time its final episode aired one month later.

Reruns of Omar Epps series Resurrection will air in the show's Tuesdays 10/9c slot for the next two weeks, until the new season of Celebrity Wife Swap premieres on April 15.

Mind Games starred Slater and Steve Zahn as two brothers who use psychological manipulation to run a successful problem-solving firm.

The show was created by Kyle Killen, showrunner behind the similarly short-lived Lone Star and Awake.

Slater has also faced a rocky path on US television, with his shows Breaking In (2011-12), The Forgotten (2009-10) and My Own Worst Enemy (2008) all failing to achieve long-term success.
