Hillary Clinton NBC biopic to be produced by Fox TV

NBC's upcoming Hillary Clinton biopic series is nearing a deal to be produced by Fox TV, it has been reported.



The biographical miniseries was recently announced by the network, with Diane Lane attached to play Clinton.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC and Fox are currently in early negotiations for the latter network to handle the production of the show.

The planned series, which does not yet have a title, has already garnered criticism from Republican rivals, who have described it as a "political ad".

Republican National Committee officials sent letters earlier this week to NBC entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt and CNN exec Jeff Zucker containing threats of boycotting both networks, which each have plans for Clinton biopics.

NBC's Hillary Clinton biopic is part of an upcoming new slate of event series on the network, including a TV remake of Rosemary's Baby.
