TNT has seen enough of the current seasons of “Animal Kingdom” and “Claws” to bring them back for another roundThe cable channel on Monday picked up both shows for another year — Season 4 for “Animal Kingdom” and Season 3 for “Claws.” Both series have improved on their prior seasons in the ratings thus far.
Through three episodes this season, “Claws” is averaging a 0.45 rating among adults 18-49 and 1.2 million viewers the night it airs, up from 0.42 and 1.12 million at the same point last season. The June 10 season premiere rose to 1.0 in adults 18-49 after a week of delayed viewing.
“Animal Kingdom” has improved by similar amounts: It’s at a same-day 0.4 and 1.27 million viewers, vs. 0.37 and 1.1 million in 2017.
Both rank in the top 10 among cable dramas for the calendar year. There’s no word yet on return dates (presumably mid-2019) or the length of the new seasons.
