“Timeless” fans can set their calendars for the show’s second season: It will be back on March 11 as part of NBC’s Sunday-night lineup

The show — which was briefly canceled last year before being picked up for a 10-episode second season — will air at 10 p.m. ET/PT Sundays, where it will run opposite “Madam Secretary” on CBS and new series “Deception” on ABC.

The first photo from Season 2 is at the top of the post. The premiere episode is titled “The War to End All Wars,” so it’s a good bet Lucy (Abigail Spencer), Rufus (Malcolm Barrett) and Wyatt (Matt Lanter) will travel to World War I.

On March 11, the three-hour special “American Ninja Warrior: USA vs. the World” will lead into the “Timeless” premiere. “Little Big Shots” and new game show “Genius Junior,” hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, will join the Sunday lineup on March 18.

The unscripted shows will face off against “American Idol” on ABC, though after nearly two years off the air and a network change, that task may not be as daunting as it once was.

“Timeless” averaged a 1.1 rating among adults 18-49 and 4.62 million viewers for its initial airings last season. Its numbers improved to 2.1 and 8 million with a week of delayed viewing.

With the “Timeless” announcement, NBC has now found a place for most — but not all — of the shows it ordered for 2017-18. Still awaiting homes are returnees “Shades of Blue,” “Marlon” and “Trial & Error,” new drama “Reverie” and the Amy Poehler-Nick Offerman unscripted show “Making It.”
