Actor confirms what showrunner said about Laurel Lance's death



Soon after Laurel Lance's death in the CW's Arrow, fans started speculating if it was a real or fake demise.

But Arrow's lead star Stephen Amell revealed that Laurel, whose alter ego was the Black Canary (both played by Katie Cassidy), will not be returning on the show.

When asked on Larry King Now if is she will come back from the death, Amell said: "No. Simply no."

He did reveal that he knows the Black Canary's last words but that they will remain a secret because the show would like to surprise the viewers.

After Laurel's death, Arrow's showrunner Marc Guggenheim went on record to say that Laurel's death was real.

However, Cassidy will appear in an upcoming episode of The Flash on May 17 - but will not be playing Black Canary.

Arrow is currently airing its fourth season on Wednesdays at 8pm ET on the CW. Its season finale will air on May 25 and is expected to return for a fifth season.
