Mayim Bialik to return to 'Big Bang Theory' after car crash

Mayim Bialik will apparently return to work on The Big Bang Theory one day after a serious car accident.



The actress was injured on Wednesday (August 15) when her car was struck by another vehicle at an intersection on Hollywood Boulevard.

Eye-witnesses claimed that they saw "tons and tons of blood everywhere" and that one of Bialik's fingers was "almost completely severed", but the star later tweeted fans to insist she will "keep" all her digits.

A spokesperson for the actress has now told Us Weekly that Bialik is feeling better after being observed by doctors.

"She is doing fine and will be returning to work [on Thursday]. She thanks everyone for their concern," Bialik's spokesperson said.

Bialik has received messages of support from fans and co-workers since Wednesday's severe car crash.

The actress has played Amy Farrah Fowler on The Big Bang Theory since 2010 and recently earned a Primetime Emmy Award nomination.
