Both shows will return with 22 episodes each, reports Deadline.

American Dad is currently airing its sixth season, with a seventh season already made to begin airing in September.

MacFarlane's third animated comedy The Cleveland Show has yet to be renewed for a new season.

Fox has stated that it has decided to postpone the decision on whether or not to renew the series for a fifth run.

The Cleveland Show is currently in its third season, with a fourth already being made.

Meanwhile, The Simpsons has been renewed for two more seasons, while Allen Gregory has been axed. The Napoleon Dynamite animated series has yet to be renewed.

Seth MacFarlane's planned reboot of The Flintstones was recently put on hold by Fox.
