Earlier this month, Girls executive producer Jenni Konner revealed that a second run was in the works.

Girls follows four 20-something women (Lena Dunham, Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke and Zosia Mamet) living in Brooklyn, New York while figuring out what they want from their lives.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus stars in Veep, a comedy centred on Vice President Selina Meyer, who discovers her position in the White House isn't what she expected.

Veep also stars Anna Chlumsky, Tony Hale, Matt Walsh, Reid Scott, Sufe Bradshaw and Timothy Simons.

Both series will be given ten episodes for their second seasons.

Veep airs on Sundays at 10pm ET, followed by Girls at 10.30pm ET.
