Simon Helberg has revealed that he and wife Jocelyn Towne are expecting a baby.



The Big Bang Theory actor's rep disclosed the news in a statement on Friday (January 26).

"The Big Bang Theory's Simon Helberg and his wife, actress/writer/director Jocelyn Towne, have announced they are expecting their first child in the spring," the spokesperson told US Weekly.

Helberg - who plays Howard Wolowitz on the show - married Towne in Los Angeles in 2007.

In addition to The Big Bang Theory, Helberg has appeared in National Lampoon's Van Wilder, A Cinderella Story and A Serious Man.

Towne made a guest appearance in Gossip Girl and is currently working on drama I Am I, in which she appears alongside her husband. The film also stars former Lost actor Kevin Tighe and Parenthood's Jason Ritter.

The cast of The Big Bang Theory opened the People's Choice Awards in Los Angeles earlier this month.
