According to TV Line, network entertainment president Kevin Reilly made the announcement at the Television Critics Association's press tour earlier today (January 8), adding that other Fox shows House, Fringe and Terra Nova are also having their futures considered.

On the cancellation, Reilly confirmed: "We will not be making any more Allen Gregory."

The show, which was co-created by Jonah Hill, Andrew Mogel and Jarrad Paul, premiered last October on the network to mostly negative reviews and underwhelming audience figures.

During the same session, Reilly suggested that a decision on the possibility of further seasons of House is being delayed, although he admitted that a spinoff series would be unlikely, adding: "That time has come and gone. [Creator] David [Shore] never creatively found something that excited him."

The executive also said that drama Fringe "[loses] a lot of money", but that he is "not doing the soft cancel here", again remarking that a decision has yet to be made on the show's future. Reilly had said back in August that he did not expect the fourth season of Fringe to pick up any new viewers.
