Lisa Kudrow's comedy Web Therapy has been renewed for a second season by Showtime.Web Therapy began as a ten-minute online series starring the Friends actress playing psychotherapist Fiona Wallace who treats patients over webcam. In 2010, Showtime picked up the series and turned it into half-hour episodes.
The second season will feature many guest stars including Meryl Streep, Conan O'Brien, Rosie O'Donnell, Molly Shannon, Minnie Driver, Selma Blair and Lily Tomlin as guests stars.
Streep shot three episodes for the online series last year.
"We are thrilled that Showtime will air more of the half-hour format of Web Therapy, we really love this version of the show," Kudrow expressed. "Of course, we are over the moon that Meryl Streep will be in this coming season. She was effortlessly hilarious and it's a great story.
"We have Lily Tomlin back who is ALWAYS fantastically funny. Conan O'Brien is beyond, fantastic, he's a perfect improviser. We're honestly giddy over the people we have for this season."
Kudrow, who previously spoke of her surprise at the popularity of Friends' 'Smelly Cat', has denied that the hit NBC sitcom will be turned into a movie.
Season two of Web Therapy will air ten episodes in 2012.
