US comedian Benjamin for new Fox sitcom

American comedian Owen Benjamin will reportedly star in a new sitcom being developed by FOX.



Deadline claims Benjamin is co-writing the project with Ruby & The Rockits producer Marsh McCall.

McCall will also executive produce the show, which is currently untitled, alongside Bill Haber, Peter Principato, Paul Young, and Joel Zadak.

Benjamin will play the sitcom's lead role of a high school guidance counselor who struggles to balance work and family commitments.

The comedian is best known for being a regular contributor on The Jay Leno Show as well for his supporting role in the 2008 romantic comedy The House Bunny.
