Fox has picked up new comedy Breaking In for a midseason order. The pilot, which stars Christian Slater, has now been commissioned for a further seven episodes.
According to Deadline, the move follows intense negotiations between Fox and producers Sony Pictures TV to secure the property.
It is believed that Fox may be lining up the comedy as a replacement for failing show Running Wilde.
Despite the initial positive reaction to the pilot in May, the series was passed over until this week.
Breaking In is expected to appear in Fox's midseason lineup.
