'Cougar Town' exec 'wants FNL cast'

The executive producer of Cougar Town has revealed that he wants the cast of Friday Night Lights to guest star on the show.



Kevin Biegel told E! Online that he is a big fan of Zach Gilford.

"Can he come on Cougar Town somehow?" he said. "He's the best actor I've ever seen. Did you see the episode with his dad? That was one of the best performances ever. How do we get Saracen on the show?"

Biegel continued: "I love Friday Night Lights so much, all I want to do is have half the cast on Cougar Town. I'd love to have Connie Britton on. OK, I'll just say this - if anyone on Friday Night Lights is available, we'll put them on the show!"

Biegel also admitted that he was starstruck when Friday Night Lights star Lamarcus Tinker signed up to play Kevin on Cougar Town.

"I was such a nerd when Lamarcus Tinker came on set," he said. "He's been great and he's in the world of the show now."

Cougar Town continues on Wednesdays at 9.30/8.30c on ABC.
