The network has ordered three more episodes of the comedy, which debuted Jan. 2 to decent ratings. The additional episodes (news of which comes via The Hollywood Reporter) bring the show’s total for the season to 15.

Adding episodes to shows that debut this late in the season is rare, but not unheard of. The extension for “LA to Vegas” is similar to one FOX gave “The Mick” last year — the network ordered four more episodes of the show its debut.

“LA to Vegas” premiered to a 1.1 rating among adults 18-49 and 3.88 million viewers; three days of delayed viewing bumped it up to 1.5. Including digital platforms, 5.6 million people watched the premiere within three days.

The 1.5 for the “LA to Vegas” premiere was the best three-day rating for a FOX Tuesday comedy in more than 10 months — the Feb. 28, 2017, episode of “The Mick” hit that same mark.

“LA to Vegas” follows the crew and regular passengers of a weekly round-trip flight between the two cities. The cast includes Dylan McDermott, Kim Matula, Ed Weeks, Nathan Lee Graham, Olivia Macklin and Peter Stormare.

Lon Zimmet (“Happy Endings,” “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”) created the series and executive produces with Adam McKay, Will Ferrell and Steven Levitan, among others.
