The network announced today that it would be putting an end to the veteran series with its upcoming fourth season finale, now also serving as its series finale. Created by Mike O’Malley, “Survivor’s Remorse” is a half-hour basketball comedy series following a duo of successful basketball players from the tough streets of Boston, as they deal with the surprisingly tough rewards of money, stardom, love, and guilt of having “made it.”

Jessie T. Usher led the series alongside RonReaco Lee, Teyonah Parris, Tichina Arnold, Robert Wu, Erica Ash, and Meagan Tandy. It was also one of real-life basketball superstar, LeBron James’, first attempts to break into the scripted television field, as he served as executive producer on the series.

“We have been fortunate to work with incredible talents like Mike O’Malley, the executive producers and our cast on this very special show for four seasons,” Starz President and CEO Chris Albrecht said in a statement to THR. “While this may be the end of The Calloway’s story, we do believe that the themes Survivor’s Remorseconfronted over the seasons, through a unique mix of humor and sober observation, will be appreciated for the insightful, heartfelt way they were addressed. We are proud of the show.”

While the series has been on the receiving end of consistently positive praise from critics, ever since its premiere back in 2014, “Survivor’s Remorse” has suffered a noticeable downturn in viewership numbers throughout its fourth season. Despite this cancellation, though, Starz still has a strong lineup of original programming for itself, including critical darlings like “American Gods,” “Power,” and “Outlander.”

“Survivor’s Remorse” will air its series finale on this coming Sunday, October 15.
