The announcement Tuesday comes a little before the show wraps its first season, with the finale scheduled for Oct. 20. “Raven’s Home” has put up solid ratings so far for Disney.

“We are incredibly proud of our first season and the fact that Raven has returned home to Disney Channel in a very big way,” Adam Bonnett, head of original programming for Disney Channels Worldwide, says in a statement. “The entire cast and crew have delivered a classic family sitcom that kids and families will be watching for many years to come.”

“Raven’s Home” premiered in July following the movie “Descendants 2,” averaging 4 million viewers and strong numbers among kids 6-11 (1.3 million) and 9-14 (1.5 million). The latter two were the best performance in those age groups for a cable series debut in two years.

Subsequent episodes have averaged around 1.3 million total viewers the night they air.

“Raven’s Home” stars Raven-Symoné (who’s also an executive producer), reprising her role from “That’s So Raven.” Issac Ryan Brown, Navia Robinson, Jason Maybaum, Sky Katz and Anneliese van der Pol also star.
