Comedy Central renews Another Period

Another Period is in for at least one more season of turn-of-the-century debauchery on Comedy Central.



The cable broadcaster announced today that a 10-episode second season of the breakout hit comedy will premiere in 2016.

Another Period creators Natasha Leggero and Riki Lindhome also star as the vapid Bellacourt sisters in a parody of reality shows.

Set in 1902, the comedy spoofs dramas like Downton Abbey in its portrayal of the most vulgar family in Newport, Rhode Island.

Of the renewal, creators Natasha Leggero and Riki Lindhome said: "We are thrilled that Comedy Central has such good taste."

The ensemble comedy also features Michael Ian Black, Paget Brewster, Christina Hendricks and Jason Ritter in supporting roles.

Another Period airs on Tuesdays at 10.30pm ET on Comedy Central.
