America Ferrera to make TV comeback in Superstore

Ugly Betty's America Ferrera will return to television for the new NBC pilot Superstore.



Superstore is a comedy from The Office's Justin Spitzer about the love lives of the employees of a middle-America big-box retailer called Cloud 9.

Ferrera stars opposite Mad Men's Ben Feldman, who will play Cloud 9's new sarcastic and occasionally lazy employee Jonah.

Ferrera has been cast as Cloud 9's veteran floor manager Amy, reports TV Line.

Amy initially butts heads with Jonah, only to develop romantic feelings for him over time.

The ensemble cast for Superstore also includes Super Fun Night's Lauren Ash, Project X actress Nichole Bloom and Key and Peele contributor Colton Dunn.

In addition to acting in Superstore, Ferrera will serve as one of the pilot's executive producers.

Ferrera famously won a Primetime Emmy Award for Ugly Betty, and has also appeared in The Good Wife.
