Vinnie Jones to star in ABC comedy pilot 'Galavant'

Vinnie Jones has signed up to star in the pilot for ABC's upcoming comedy series Galavant.



The British actor is the first star to be cast in the single-camera project, according to Deadline.

The musical fairytale series has been written by The Neighbors creator Dan Fogelman.

Oscar-winning composer Alan Menken has also signed up to write the music for the series, to be produced by ABC Studios.

Galavant follows the handsome Prince Galavant and his aim to get revenge on the king who stole his true love.

Jones will play a character named Gareth, a tough Scottish henchman serving King Galahad.

The actor currently stars alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone in Escape Plan.
