Brooklyn Nine-Nine has been commissioned for a further nine episodes, meaning that Fox has now ordered a full season of the US comedy series.Meanwhile, the show - which stars Andy Samberg - will join New Girl to form an hour-long special comedy block which will air immediately after the Super Bowl on February 2, 2014.
Fox chairman Kevin Reilly said: "It's exciting to see that both critics and fans love 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' as much as we do.
"With Andy (Samberg) and Andre (Braugher) out in front of this incredible ensemble, it feels like this show is going to be around for a long time."
Brooklyn Nine-Nine, which was created and written by Dan Goor (Parks and Recreation) and Michael Schur (The Office), will now have a 22-episode long first season.
E4 has bought the transmission rights for the police comedy in the UK.
