Jenna Elfman is to star in new NBC sitcom Growing Up Fisher.



The Dharma & Greg star replaces Parker Posey in the upcoming comedy series, previously known as The Family Guide, reports TVLine.

Growing Up Fisher is a family comedy that examines how the lives of a father (JK Simmons), mother (Elfman) and son (Eli Baker) are altered by divorce.

Elfman recently starred on short-lived NBC comedy 1600 Penn and has also appeared on Damages, Two and a Half Men and Showtime's Shameless.

The Growing Up Fisher pilot episode was directed by former Friends star David Schwimmer.

The show's first season will air on NBC in 2014.
