Melissa George joins 'The Good Wife'

Melissa George has joined the cast of The Good Wife.



George will play "the recurring role of Marilyn, newly-elected Governor Florrick's in-house ethics counsel", reports TVLine.

Marilyn is said to be "smart, sexy, savvy and, by her very job description, a stickler for honesty and observing the rules".

George will make her Good Wife debut in season five, which will premiere on September 29 at 9pm ET.

George is best known for appearing in Hunted, The Slap, Grey's Anatomy and In Treatment, as well as for her role as Angel Parrish on Australian soap Home and Away.

Last week, it was reported that a Hunted spinoff is in development, with George set to star.
