US network HBO has ordered a full season of a new comedy series from Tiny Furniture star and director Lena Dunham.
Yesterday, HBO announced the premise of Girls, claiming that it will offer "a comic look at the assorted humiliations and rare triumphs of a group of girls in their early 20s".
According to the New York TImes, HBO is hoping to replicate the success of Tiny Furniture by putting Dunham both in front of and behind the camera once again.
Girls will also feature Dunham's Tiny Furniture co-star Kemima Kirke, alongside the likes of Allison Williams and Mad Men actress Zosia Mamet.
Judd Apatow is on board to co-produce the series, although a premiere date for Girls has yet to be announced.
