Significant Mother has been picked up by The CW.90210's Josh Zuckerman leads the cast in the show, which was originally developed for its digital platform, Seed.
The story follows budding restaurateur Nate, who finds out his best friend and recently separated mother are having an affair.
To further complicate matters, Nate's dad is determined to win her back, putting Nate in the middle of the love triangle.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series hails from writers Erin Cardillo and Richard Keith who also serve as executive producers alongside Tripp Reed and Les Morgenstein. It is slated for a summer premiere.
Also cast in Significant Mother are Krista Allen, Jonathan Silverman, Jay Ali and The Social Network's Emma Fitzpatrick.
The CW last month announced they will be producing a spinoff to Arrow and The Flash.
Also returning this summer is Beauty and the Beast and new half-hour comedy show Backpackers starring Noah Reid.
