Californication and House of Lies have been renewed by Showtime.



The US version of Shameless - starring William H Macy and Emmy Rossum - has also been picked up for a fourth season.

Don Cheadle's House of Lies and David Duchovny's Californication will return for their third and seventh seasons respectively.

"Californication, House of Lies and Shameless possess highly distinctive comedic voices," said Showtime's president David Nevins.

"Given that all three continue to grow their audience season after season - the pick-up decision was easy. I am incredibly excited to see what each of these series has in store for their next seasons."

All three series will return to Showtime in 2014. In the UK, Shameless USA airs on More4, while House of Lies airs on Sky Atlantic.

Californication is currently without a UK broadcaster after being dropped by 5*.
