Daniel Radcliffe has revealed that the second part of the film adaptation of the final Harry Potter book will be radically different to the first.
Radcliffe claims that whereas the first film focuses on exploring the main characters' motivations for their actions, the second will instead focus more on the final confrontation depicted in J.K. Rowling's last novel.
"The last movie is going to be really, really fast-paced and a load of action in it, and it is like a war film," Radcliffe revealed to The Hollywood Reporter. "If we had done this book in one film, the stuff that would have got cut is most of this film."
Radcliffe admitted to preferring the first part of the franchise's finale due to its focus on character development, but claimed that the second part allowed viewers to "just kind of enjoy the insanity of all the action".
Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 1 topped both the UK and US box office last weekend, with the second instalment expected in cinemas in July 2011.
