Anne Hathaway has admitted that she thinks love can be "wonderful" when it goes well and "one of the worst parts of being alive" when it doesn't.The actress, who stars in new movie Love and Other Drugs where she plays Jake Gyllenhaal's partner, said that it takes a lot of work to keep love in a relationship.
She told the Chicago Sun-Times: "Most people want love and the journey sometimes is really rocky to find it. It's an exploration and an adventure always. It's also one of the most wonderful parts of being alive and one of the worst parts of being alive when it doesn't go well.
"The movie is about what it takes to let love in. Love is hard work and it's scary, and it's all totally worth it."
The 28-year-old appears in several sex scenes with Gyllenhaal in Love and Other Drugs and confessed that she had fun taking her clothes off for the role.
She joked: "I hear that we are brave. Is it brave because we were laughing while we were naked and things jiggled? Maybe so."
