Anderson Cooper's daytime talkshow has been given a makeover.

The programme, originally called Anderson, will get a new name and daily co-hosts - just like during its May sweeps - when it returns for its second season on September 10.

It will now be named Anderson Live and will start filming in a new location - the CBS Broadcast Centre - away from its former set at the Time Warner Centre.

The new move is an attempt to increase ratings and to bring more live coverage for the show, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

In July, Cooper publicly announced that he is gay, explaining: "I've begun to consider whether the unintended outcomes of maintaining my privacy outweigh personal and professional principle.

"The fact is, I'm gay, always have been, always will be, and I couldn't be any more happy, comfortable with myself, and proud."

Following his announcement, Cooper received praised from many people, including celebrities Ellen DeGeneres and Kathy Griffin.
