Dr Drew launching his own talkshow

Dr Drew Pinsky is to launch his own nightly talkshow early next year on HLN.



The certified doctor and television personality will discuss a wide range of issues with a live audience.

"Dr Drew informs and inspires audiences on subjects that matter most to them and their families, and he is an ideal fit for the HLN network," HLN vice president Scot Safon told The Hollywood Reporter. "Dr Drew will shed light, provide crucial information and give viewers something to talk - and think - about."

Pinsky is said to be thrilled at the prospect of working with the network and described it as a "natural fit".

The star is best known for his VH1 shows Celebrity Rehab With Dr Drew and Sex Rehab With Dr Drew.

The primetime talkshow is scheduled to launch in spring 2011.
