ABC is reportedly developing five new pilots for midseason.
Deadline claims that the network is hoping that two of the hour-long episodes will become series.
Charlie's Angels, the latest project from Smallville creators Miles Millar and Al Gough, is one of the programmes said to be in development.
The network recently asked for extra scripts from Edgar Floats, another show on the development slate, while thriller Department Zero is reportedly being redrafted.
The other two shows thought to be in the works are Ghostworld, about a phantom who helps a homicide detective solve crime, and Behind The Blue, which follows a family of police officers.
ABC is also allegedly in talks about picking up Ghost Whisperer, which was cancelled by CBS earlier this month.
