Netflix US to lose Doctor Who and other BBC shows

Netflix US is to drop a range of BBC content from its service.



From January 31, American users will no longer be able to stream most of the BBC's programmes.

Doctor Who and Top Gear will be among the shows to be removed, along with the likes of Fawlty Towers, Blackadder, Coupling and Luther.

The changes will not affect Netflix users in the UK and Ireland.

American Doctor Who fans have already launched an online petition to save the show from the cull.
