'Blue Bloods', 'CSI:NY' edge Friday ratings for CBS

CBS edged the ratings on Friday evenings of ABC, preliminary figures from Nielsen suggests.

The networks tied for the night in the 18-49 demographic rating (1.3), but CBS won in terms of total viewers (9.25 million) on average.

CBS's season premiere of CSI:NY scored a demo rating of 1.3 (8.99m) at 8pm, which is six-tenths lower than last year.

The series premiere of Made in Jersey arrived with a 1.1 rating (7.74m) at 9pm.

Blue Bloods returned with a 1.5 rating, which is down from last year's 2.0. It was however the most watched programme of the night with 11.10m viewers at 10pm.

ABC's Shark Tank fell slightly from last week to 1.5 (5.89m) at 8pm. 20/20 finished even with last week with 1.4 (4.16m) at 10pm.

NBC's season premiere of Grimm achieved a 1.6 rating (5.31m) at 9pm, slightly higher than its last episode. Dateline attracted a 1.3 rating (4.79m) at 10pm, lower than last fall's season premiere.

Fox's Fringe season premiere scored a 1.1 rating, four tenths lower than last year (3.17m) at 9pm.
