‘NCIS: Los Angeles,’ ‘NCIS: New Orleans’ renewed at CBS

CBS’ “NCIS” lineup will be staying together next season

Announced today, the network has officially renewed “NCIS: Los Angeles” for its eleventh season and “NCIS: New Orleans” for its sixth. The news of which comes almost two weeks after the network also renewed the Mark Harmon-led “NCIS” for its seventeenth season.

“Both shows have been key pillars to the CBS schedule for several years,” said CBS Entertainment President, Kelly Kahl. “They offer heroic stories, big stars and have attracted a passionate, loyal fan base. We’re excited to have Chris, LL, Scott and these terrific casts back to bring more terrific NCIS stories to viewers in the U.S. and around the world.”

“NCIS: Los Angeles” has held well in the ratings season-to-season, averaging a 0.9 live + same day rating in the adults 18-49 demo with 7.44 million viewers this year, on par with its previous season’s 0.9 rating and 7.90 million viewer averages. “NCIS: New Orleans” has taken more of a hit this year, with a 0.8 average rating and 7.38 million viewers, down from the 1.0 rating and 8.86 million viewers it averaged in the 2017-18 season.

With this announcement, the two shows now join “NCIS,” “God Friended Me,” “Blue Bloods,” “Criminal Minds,” “Magnum P.I.,” “The Neighborhood,” “Mom,” “Young Sheldon,” and “FBI” as the CBS shows renewed for the 2019-20 season so far.
