Announced this afternoon, the network has decided to cancel “Take Two,” the news of which comes just several months after the series wrapped up its 13-episode first season on the network back in September.

Coming from “Castle” creators, Andrew W. Marlowe and Terri Edda Miller, “Take Two” followed the former star of a hit cop series, who fresh out of rehab and desperate to restart her career, lands a job shadowing a lone wolf Los Angeles private investigator. When the actress proves herself to be surprisingly valuable in solving a high-profile case, the pair quickly become in-demand, as new clients emerge looking to hire them.

It starred Rachel Bilson, Eddie Cibrian, Xavier de Guzman, Alice Lee, Aliyah O’Brien, and more. Miller and Marlowe executive produced the series, along with Rola Bauer and Tim Halkin

Despite being Marlowe and Miller’s return to ABC, along with starring a proven TV veteran like Bilson in one of its two leading roles, “Take Two” failed to draw in very strong ratings throughout its first season. It averaged a 0.4 live + same day rating in adults 18-49 with 2.71 million viewers.
