Patricia Arquette's fledgling spinoff won't be backIt's the end of an era at CBS, as the once highly-rated CSI television franchise comes to an end.
On Thursday (May 12), the Tiffany Network officially cancelled spinoff CSI: Cyber - the last remaining CSI series on the air (via Deadline).
CSI: Cyber had brought over Ted Danson from the original show for its sophomore season, but it failed to bring in ratings high enough to secure a third one.
This was the fourth series to spin off from the original CSI, which wrapped up its own 15-season run with a CBS television movie last September.
The David Caruso-starring CSI: Miami ran from 2002 to 2012 on CBS, while CSI: NY's own nine-year run on the network came to an end in 2013.
Hollywood heavyweight Jerry Bruckheimer produced the franchise, which launched with the Anthony E. Zuiker-created mothership series all the way back in October 2000.
