Perception has been cancelled by TNT.The cable network confirmed today (November 13) that it will not move ahead with a fourth season of Perception.
Eric McCormack and Rachael Leigh Cook starred in Perception as a schizophrenic neuropsychiatrist and an FBI agent who investigated complex criminal cases.
Perception is still scheduled to air the second-half of its third and final season in February.
McCormack and Cook revealed to Digital Spy in September that season three will end on a cliffhanger.
"There's been a recent shake-up in the brass," Cook explained at the time. "I think it's going to take a longer time than it normally would for us to find out [about a renewal]."
McCormack added: "We certainly don't end season three in a way that is going to be satisfying for the fans, so we're sure hoping!"
The actor has since addressed the show's cancellation in a message to fans on Twitter.
"A sad day: Daniel Pierce will lecture no more. Thank you #Perception fans, and our great crew, for 3 amazing seasons. Shoulda been more," McCormack wrote.
Perception was created by Star Trek: Voyager's Kenneth Biller and Mike Sussman.
TNT announced earlier this week that it was also cancelling legal drama Franklin & Bash.
