Reality series 'Cops' returns for 25th season on Fox

Cops is set to make its return on Fox.



The reality series will kick off its 25th season on Saturday, December 15, airing its 850th episode in February 2013.

Cops follows police officers and sheriffs during their patrols, as well as doing other activities related to their work.

The upcoming new season will visit Sacramento, California, Las Vegas, Portland, Oregon and Alameda County, California.

Since the show's premiere on March 11, 1989, Cops has become the longest-running show on Fox, followed by America's Most Wanted which was cancelled after 23 years on air. It is also a four-time Emmy Awards nominee.
