Phil Keoghan has said that the returning teams on The Amazing Race: Unfinished Business are "more savvy" this time around.

The host told CBS's The Early Show that the 11 teams getting a second shot at the $1 million prize had learned from their past experiences on the show.

"They are more savvy. They have been on the race before and gone out into the world and had these challenges," he said on Friday. "So that's where we have to be prepared to really test them mentally."

He teased that one challenge involves a shark tank in Australia, saying: "That's a real mind-over-matter challenge."

It was previously announced that some of the locations that will be visited on this season's show include Tokyo, Sydney, Mount Fuji and, for the first time, Liechtenstein.

"We're always looking to go to new places. That is, to me, one of the great things about The Amazing Race," added Keoghan. "Every season, whatever you see behind the teams, it's always fresh, it's always new, it's always exciting."

Among the teams who are returning this season are Harlem Globetrotters Herb Lang & Nate Lofton, best friends Zev Glassenberg & Justin Kanew, cowboys Jet and Cord McCoy, and father-and-daughter Gary and Mallory Erwin, who appeared on the previous season.

According to The AP, the duo decided to miss their season finale party to appear on the upcoming season, with Mallory joking that the pair "still had [their] bags packed".

The Amazing Race returns this Sunday at 8/7c on CBS.
