FOX has put its unscripted show “You the Jury” in TV jail, canceling it after just two weeks on the air

The last of those two episodes actually aired on April 14. FOX has aired repeats of “Lethal Weapon” in the 9 p.m. Friday spot the past two weeks, with slightly better results. The two “Lethal Weapon” episodes have drawn 0.5 and 0.4 ratings among adults 18-49 and an average of about 1.9 million viewers, vs. 0.4/0.3 and 1.37 million viewers for “You the Jury.”

Three days of DVR playback didn’t help much, lifting the show to averages of just 0.4 in the 18-49 demographic and 1.7 million viewers. The series was among the lowest-rated shows on the Big 4 networks this season.

“You the Jury” allowed viewers to vote on the outcome of real civil cases, with lawyers arguing both sides and Fox News host Jeanine Pirro as host. Think of it as a version of daytime courtroom shows, but on a game show-like set and with the added wrinkle of audience voting.
