The 'Dooo It!' singer revealed on Friday (March 25) that she's getting her own spinning chair this fall alongside Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.

Pharrell Williams's status is currently unclear, with rumours emerging that he could be replaced by Alicia Keys.

"It's true! I am going to be the newest judge on Season 11 of The Voice," Miley tweeted Friday.

Her promotion comes days before Miley makes her first appearance in season 10 of The Voice as a special adviser to the current crop of contestants.

While Gwen Stefani has been a mainstay of The Voice's autumn cycles, she'll be taking this year off to promote her solo comeback This Is What the Truth Feels Like.

Today's announcement also effectively serves as a renewal for The Voice – which is no surprise given its continuing status as a ratings powerhouse.
